By Car
From the “Südautobahn” A2 (south highway): Take the exit for Minimundus.
From the city center: Take the Villacherstraβe as far as the car dealer Autohaus Porsche, turn left into Neckheimgasse. At the end of the street turn right into Universitätsstraβe.
Parking on campus
Car parking charges are applicable on all university property, everyday 24 hours a day. For further information consult the parking plan.
Parking charges:
Parking by the hour: € 0.50 per ½ hour or part thereof
Day ticket: € 7.00
Monthly permit: € 13.00
Tickets for hourly and day parking are available at the parking meters. Parking meters are located at parking area west, north, east (bus stop), south and at the parking lots around Mensa.
Monthly parking permits can be purchased at the cash desk (room S.0.39) upon presentating certification of enrolment in one of our courses or your Universität Klagenfurt student ID. Please note the cash desk opening hours.
Be sure to display the parking ticket or permit clearly on the dashboard of your car.
Parking on public streets
Off-campus you can park in public streets free of charge. Please watch out for short-term parking zones.
By Plane
The airport is located about 4 km from the center of Klagenfurt and 8 km from the university. There is a bus connection, line # 42, from the airport to the city center. Get off at Heiligengeistplatz, take line # 81 and get off at the university bus stop. Please check the website of the City of Klagenfurt for updated information on the price of bus tickets.
If you arrive late in the evening, we recommend to take a taxi. The trip from the airport to the university costs about € 20.00.

By Train
If you come from Vienna: There is a direct bus service from Vienna airport to the “Meidling” train station. The bus leaves every two hours (7:40, 8:40, … to 18:40) and costs about € 7.00. The trip takes ca. 30 min. A direct train for Klagenfurt leaves the “Meidling” station every two hours (8:30, 10:30, … to 19:30). A second-class ticket to the Klagenfurt central station costs about € 51.00.

By Coach
The intercity bus company FlixBus offers low-cost connections to over 5,000 locations in Austria, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Switzerland and the Czech Republic. With free WLAN and sockets at your seat you can surf, answer emails and listen to music.
